However, it might be important to also say we are presently using oil up at a faster rate than that at present because of lower oil prices. In fact, I also might say that the ONLY thing preventing a world wide great depression of a really scary nature are these oil prices right now.
And if and when oil prices rise again there will be hell to pay worldwide for all of us. Imagine an Oil drought because people just cannot afford oil prices then and can't afford to buy food at all in 1/2 of the nations on earth?
So, the low prices are an oil blessing to mankind at present. But, at the same time all the oil drillers and shale oil miners going bankrupt every day are eventually going to take us to a world oil lack of epic proportions likely only matched when no one drove a car or truck much anywhere on earth.
So, the oil lack is coming. We just don't know when for sure. At that point it is likely going to get pretty scary some places here on earth that can't nationalize their local oil for that disaster like the U.S. can and Russia can and Saudi Arabia can and Venezuela can.
