Gorongossa Park: Rebirth PBS KQED

  1. I found this on PBS while I was trying to get my wife and daughter to watch Agents of shield. However, they are watching some series likely on Netflix on the main TV in the living room.  However, every program I care about automatically records on our TIVO for later viewing. So, I'm watching on the bedroom flatscreen this lovely nature program on Gorongosa park in Africa. They show Elephants and one female attacks them and they barely get away by their truck in time. Later they get a shallow water boat and go out during the flood season into the park and said this was the first time this has been done with a camera that they know of. They make their base Hippo Hut which was built in the 1960s for tourists when this was still a part of Portugal before it became independent. He said it still is tricky there because they have to have two rangers as armed guards to be safe enough to do this video today. The birds are so not used to people (very exotic birds) that they don't even fly away. So, he gets some amazing shots of nature and exotic birds mating and carrying on also in this interesting video on An African park and Elephants Lions, Hippos and exotic birds in the wild.
