As you can see in the last article, the southern California drought continues unabated
North of about Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo there was a lot of rain most places but if you look at the San Luis Reservoir (near Santa Nella near Interstate 5) it is very low so not as much rain hit there either. However, then you look further north from Big Sur north for example most places got a lot of rain this year to the point where in the spring Shasta Dam was a 109% capacity. But this isn't true of reservoirs or lakes south of San Luis Reservoir. These pictures are from Google Images under the words "San Luis Reservoir now" to bring up what it looks like right now. So, you can see how low the reservoir is to a dangerous degree. From here south it is very bad most places like this in California both coastal and inland from about Santa Nella South (on Interstate 5) regarding reservoirs and lakes this summer. So, we should expect a lot of fires without much water to fight those fires.
