- BUDDYMOON is the first feature from director Alex Simmons, after years of success in the documentary...My daughter chose this independent movie to watch first tonight before we watched "The Age of Adaline". It was an interesting independent movie. The release date is July 1, 2016 I realized just now. It won many awards from the Slamdance, Florida, Newport Beach, Las Vegas, Mammoth Lakes and Ashland Film festivals. So, it is a very well thought of independent movie to start with. The basic premise is a man's girlfriend decides not to marry him so the long multi day hike he was going to take with her for their honeymoon he takes with his German friend instead. It's pretty funny and is a comedy drama movie in the forest mostly in beautiful country in Oregon. At one point they are swimming in Trillium Lake at the foot of Mt. Hood even though they likely call it something else. I and one of my daughter's and my wife all recognized this place because we love it winter or summer and also I have skied a lot (even in July some years) on Mt. Hood up at about 8500 feet in the summers on a glacier and lower in the winters.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
