Tesla Motors' 8.0 OTA update is
being claimed as the biggest update ever. The company proceeded to test
the latest software update on random owners, especially the updated
version of the Autopilot feature and a whopping change on the user
interface (UI), which reportedly will surprise Tesla owners, The Country Caller reported.
Elon Musk Tesla Motors' Chief
Executive said that since their first release of the Autopilot, the
future will allow complete self-driving. However, the Tesla Motors' 8.0
OTA update will focus first on improving autonomous driving on the
highways and auto-parking features. Generally, the update will
compensate for those that point out mistakes to its hardware
limitations.
Tesla Motors' 8.0 OTA update will add
extra improvements to performance on highways such as the automatic
off-ramp with the turn signal as well as excite most Tesla Model S and
Model X owners on the capacity of the Autopilot Convenience Feature.
The improvements may be similar to the
existing auto-lane changing feature with turn signal. However, the new
update will permit owners to command the system to change lanes by using
an indicator. The auto steering and Traffic Aware Cruise Control, TACC,
will also provide a better and smoother driving during traffic, Philly reported.
The Tesla Motors' 8.0 OTA update will
also update the interactive Autopilot dashboard interface. It will show a
Tesla car in virtually any inclination they are driving in. Also, the
voice command system will be improved; pressing a button down to send a
voice command will not be required anymore that anymore. Also, a
display of the command transcript will be shown in the dashboard.
