But, we don't live in an ideal world. Even if no guns were allowed in the U.S. at all these kinds of mass shootings would still go on with illegal weapons.
In fact, because of the wealth of this nation I would say it likely would be 10 times worse as criminals came from other places to steal and kill here more than they do now. One of the things that keeps criminals away from this country is they don't want to be shot by gun carrying U.S. citizens who are legally carrying guns. The same is true of terrorists now because half or more of the time when terrorists have struck with guns private citizens have either shot back or pointed their guns at the terrorists and seriously considered shooting the terrorists.
But, without an armed America I seriously expect within 50 to 75 years of whenever this occured that the whole world would become a One World Dictatorship where no one ever again would be allowed to have a gun and any group not liked by this dictatorship would simply be gassed or guillotined or shot or whatever and would then be no more.
This is exactly what I would expect would happen on earth without an armed citizenship of the U.S. within 50 to 75 years.
In fact, the ONLY reason this hasn't happened already is because this country is armed to the teeth and should stay that way for the benefit not only of this country but for all countries freedom on earth.
Without a fully armed populace America wouldn't have ever been born.
Nothing important has changed about this statement and isn't likely to through to today.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
