If people keep filling kids heads with completely unrealistic expectations one day they will feel so betrayed by life and everyone around them that they might get a gun a shoot up a church too!
What are the chances of Any child in the U.S. now ever becoming president of the United States?
I would say likely 1 in 100,000,000. This is realistic.
When I grew up I wasn't given a line of Bullshit like children are today.
Even at 4 years old I knew that I likely would die fighting in a battle in some corner of the earth.
To me, at 4 to 12 years of age that was my future.
Did that happen to me?
Thank God no!
But, that was what I expected to have to do.
And for the 1950s that was completely realistic for the times.
But now, when you tell your children complete bullshit about their future (because you don't want them to be depressed and to kill themselves.)
Maybe you are turning them into people who will be so upset with their lives they are going to shoot up a church one day.
This is my thought about how unrealistic parents seem to be these days.
Was I given "Way to much reality?" Yes.
And did many of the children my age kill themselves because of it? Yes.
But, somehow I survived Whooping Cough, Childhood Epilepsy, the 1960s, the 1970s and am still here at almost 70 having outlived my father already.
So, too much reality was shared with my generation and not enough reality is being shared with present generations.
There has to be a balance because shooting up churches isn't a good solution to our problems!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
