A Tesla is like driving an Apple Computer on 4 wheels

This was my experience while driving my cousin's Tesla. Being the technophile I am I loved the technology. I loved driving zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds where your head is glued to your headrest because of the (no shifting constant acceleration). I enjoyed watching my cousin turn the automatic driving aspect on while the car drove itself in traffic keeping a proper distance behind the car in front of it and navigating by looking at the dotted white lane lines. I loved (with my wife and his wife on board) going 20mph to 120mph in about 5 seconds time on a deserted freeway at night. But, also we were back to 70 within another 5 seconds or so too.So, within 10 or 20 seconds we already went from 20 to 120 and back to 70. So, yes, a Tesla model S is really remarkable regarding acceleration and self driving like no other car I have ever seen

But, the computer programmer in me sees this car a lot like an Apple computer with 4 wheels.

Why?

Because to me, this car is potentially dangerous because inevitably they will be hacked and taken over. And this is inevitable over time that people will take over one or more of these cars and then what are you going to do with them? It's also true however, if you aren't the one being murdered by the hacking of the Tesla or other electric or hybrid maybe they could create a patch against at least that form of hacking (even though there are thousands or more ways to hack this system during this century (as ANY online computer can be hacked eventually). So, only by removing Tesla's and other computers from any online capacity could you prevent remote hacking and re-hacking over and over again in various ways. And even removing online hacking as a problem doesn't stop someone from installing a malevolent subroutine in your computer driving the electric or hybrid (someone like a disgruntled car mechanic for example.) So, this hacking of electrics and hybrids will be an ongoing problem for everyone from now on. (just like your home computers and smartphones will always be a problem too) (but they don't have 4 wheels and don't go 100 miles per hour when hacked).

And also, as far as I know they still haven't lead lined the driving compartment of a Tesla (to the best of my knowledge) so like most electrics and hybrids they are not safe to drive in with your kids especially because of Electrical coronas from the electric motors over say 20 years time.

I and my wife were very likely safe to take one or two rides in my cousin's Tesla, but I wouldn't want to be riding in one every day for the next 20 years without custom lead lining the complete interior to protect from Electrical Coronas from the electric motor when it discharges electricity from the batteries.

Basically what is needed is a similar to what you wear (the lead apron) in a dentists office which protects you from x-ray radiation. This is what the inside roof and floor need to have and be completely covered by to protect the driver and occupants from ongoing electrical Corona radiation that will eventually have harmful effects to people riding in electrics or hybrids every day. Basically the most important thing is to have a lead barrier between the electric motor and all occupants of the vehicle sufficient to hold back major electric radiation from traveling through the bodies of all occupants of the car.

In thinking about this more it might be possible to lead wrap the  electric motor sufficiently somehow between the occupants and driver and the electric motor. So, if tests were then done no Electric radiation would then go through the driver and the occupants of the vehicle.

However, in a hybrid you have to shield not only from the electric motors but also from the generators on board as well. Because Electric radiation comes not only from the discharge of power of an electric motor but also when it is generated by larger generators as well.

Theoretically, at least this might be possible without overheating the electric motor or motors by putting lead around 180 degrees (the part facing the driver and occupants)  but you still want the motor  to cool properly. (Electric Generation especially in larger electric motors produces some heat so ventilation of larger electric motors is necessary usually  especially during summers when outside temperatures rise a lot.)

What causes harm is either when electricity is generated it creates an electrical corona and when it is run through an electric motor it causes an electrical corona. During both these times (both only occur in in hybrids by the way) except for smaller voltages during braking when braking also generates a smaller amount of electricity which happens in both electrics and hybrids.

So, in all electrics you only have Electric radiation from discharge of electricity through motors. However, there is a small amount of electrical radiation also during braking which also generates electricity back into the batteries as well.
