The problem with paid positions blogging is you always are suspect as to people's motivations. Whenever money is involved it is usually not possible to fully take people seriously when their livelihood is at stake.
For example, if someone needs money they are going to do or to say almost anything to you in order to make money.
And this is not a criticism of people by the way this is just a fact of life, of survival.
But, when you are forced to retire like I did at age 50 like I had to and find you can afford to do a blog and to help people all over the world with it, this is an entirely different thing.
And people generally can sense this difference of people sharing to help people rather than just being forced by life's circumstances to make a buck anyway that they can.
So, if you find yourself suddenly retired unexpectedly because God has given you the "Leisure to Practice" which I had prayed for since I was about 30 and found out it was a real thing.
What does "leisure to practice" mean?
Basically, what it means to me is that God has given you the finances and the time to pray 24 hours a day if you wish because you no longer have to get up and go to work to make ends meet every day.It also might mean you can travel to different places on earth and to help people any way God shows you to.
Retirement often brings a lot of free time and you might want some kind of meditative discipline to keep your life on an even keel. So, one of my meditations to keep my life more even is to do this blog. I find my interests which are very eclectic can be helpful to others worldwide.
Because if you live to be at least 30 you often have a lot of wisdom to share. And by the time you have reached almost 70 like I have it's amazing how much stuff you have learned in a multi-disciplinary way. So, people my age often are synthesists who can combine philosophy, religion, science and ecology and psychology in various ways because of real life experiences all over the world.
The more diverse your experiences are the more helpful you might be to people worldwide.
But also the more specific and disciplined you are the more likely you can be helpful to the world too.
However, are you writing this blog for your own entertainment or are you giving people what they actually want to read about? Usually a combination of the two is best especially if you are retired or have free time to do this.
I recommend blogger .com because it goes worldwide but there are also other venues worldwide if you wish as well.
To me, the important thing is to be helpful to mankind. This tends to heal ourselves in various ways too. By giving and helping you naturally receive. This is just a natural law of cause and effect everywhere.
I for one don't want to see the human race (and the rest of all life on earth go extinct anytime soon). How about you?
Have a Great Day!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
