When I first started this site when people would comment it was sort of easy to deal with. either people agreed with what I was writing about or they didn't. This is pretty simple to deal with. And most of the time I allowed both positive and negative comments unless someone was obviously completely out of it for one reason or another. But then I started to encounter worldwide spam and this I had no idea how to deal with people wanting sot sell themselves internationally, people wanting to provide escorts in every country in the world and bogus products of every kind beyond mentioning. At this point comments began to be a problem for me to deal with at this site because it is an international site and because Blogspot (Google) sponsored) (blogger.com) goes everywhere Google goes I would get replies in Chinese script and Japanese and Korean script and every other kind of script which I cannot read either. Sometimes I would run this through Google Translate and it would be someone trying to sell themselves to an American or sell something questionable to people in the western world who might have more money to do this. At this point I just got too overwhelmed with all this and sort of gave up because I don't get paid for any of this. I do this as a world public service more than anything else to try to help people worldwide better survive their lives. But, I don't have hundreds of hours to try to sort through the wordl's spam.
At the same time I started getting overwhelmed in dealing with my emails. It's true I actually have 3 email addresses that I got over time but don't really visit any of them much any more. For a time I was corresponding with an old friend on one of them who had moved long ago to the east coast but then I convinced her to text me on my phone as that is how I prefer to communicate now more than through emails.
The problem now is worldiwde spam that is ocmpletely out of control not only at my email sites but also here at my blog site. So, if you post a reasonable comment and don't see it published here just remember I used to do this wihtout fail before I got 10 or 1000 times as much spam as reasonable commments.
I really don't care whether you agree with me or not I likely would publish your comments as long as they sound reasonably sane. But, I just no longer have the time to spend hours pouring through spam to get to reasonable comments. And now, the comments all seem to come to one of my email addresses which also is filled with 100s of spam entries too which I mostly stopped visiting because it just got too ridiculous.
I just wanted you to know what is happening here with me.
This wasn't a problem like now until I reached about 1,000,000 views but now I have passed 2,000,000 views and the amount of comments and spam is really really ridiculous at this point.
Here' s the real problem. If I answered and posted all your comments and deleted all the spam comments I wouldn't be able to write or do anything else at this site. I wouldn't have any time left at all to blog.
So, I have to apologize if you don't see your reasonable comments but I only have time to do what I do. So, if you have a blog that gets 2 million visits or more you too likely will be in the position I'm in unless it is a paid position which this is not for me. I purposely don't have adds at my site because it allows me to publish more helpful things for you to read worldwide.
