The pageant tells the story of Jesus Christ and the understanding of I AM as he presented it to ...
I have an antique copy of the book printed in 1898 given to me by my mother who was in the Saint Germain Foundation from 1936 until she passed on in 2008 at age 90.
Mrs. Ballard of the Saint Germain Foundation based her "I AM Come" Pageant on the Life of Christ upon this book.
Originally in the early 1940s each "I AM" Group of the Saint Germain Foundation would perform one of the acts of this play. My parents were in the Seattle Group so they dressed as the three Wise men and performed this in the early 1940s and I have black and white movies of this that I converted to first VHS and then DVD.
Eventually before they bought the Amphitheater property on McCloud Avenue in Mt. Shasta up near where the "I AM" School is now they performed this (all the groups around the country of the U.S. and Canada) and performed the whole play since each one was assigned one act or scene from the play. This I believe was around 1946 to 1948 for the general public who wished to see as well as for "I AM" students from around the world visiting Mt. Shasta.
By the early 1950s performances began at the Amphitheater volunteer "I AM" students from around the world built on the Amphitheater property and performed one or more times on a Sunday in August since around 1950. I first performed in the children's scene at age 5 which was in 1953. I did that each year in August until I was 9 or 10 years old then I held the bolt of cloth which he was selling in 1958 and 1959. In 1960 I had a speaking part as the Boy Jesus "They that know they name "I AM" will put their Trust in Thee" talking to the priests in the Temple and finally was discovered by my parents, Joseph and Mary in that scene.
By age 15 I was made a Violet Flame Angel in the Transfiguration (of Jesus) scene and also in the Jesus' Resurrection scene after Archangel Gabriel blasts the door off the tomb of Jesus.
In 1968 I was Archangel Gabriel Blasting the Tomb door away as they needed someone over 6 feet tall as an archangel. I was 20 so I would have been between 6 foot 3 and 6 foot 4 then. By 21 or 22 I was 6 foot 5 inches tall.
Finally, in 1969 I was an "Angel of Promise" saying "Why gaze ye up into heaven ye men of Galilee. This same beloved Jesus shall return in like manner."
And the rest is history.
