When I first began studying Tibetan Buddhism in 1980 I discovered Right Mindful compassion.
Most people tend to write about what I would call "IDIOT Compassion".
Idiot compassion would be giving a person a fish so they could eat for a day.
Right mindful compassion would be: "Teaching that person to fish so they could eat for a lifetime".
(Even though if the ocean's die fishing in the ocean won't happen anymore anywhere).
So, maybe even a more right mindful compassion would be finding a way to prevent the deaths of the oceans and preventing it en masse as humanity.
and maybe finding a way to reverse global Warming so all the trees don't blow away one day where you live and you have no air to breathe if all the trees blow down (And) the oceans are dead too. Because no one then likely could breathe oxygen anymore (unless they separated oxygen from Water to breathe and then that's stupid because eventually there's no more water to drink because you have converted all the water into oxygen and all the hydrogen has gone straight up into the sky because it is the lightest element of all.
So, once again Right mindful compassion: is finding the most efficient way to enlighten everyone so all life forms on earth can survive as long as possible.
Right mindful compassion is realizing that if you are compassionate to yourselves and to all others you likely will live longer and longer helping yourself and all others into enlightenment.
Right mindful compassion is figuring out the most efficient way to help yourself and all mankind into enlightenment while figuring out how to prevent the 6th Great Extinction of all species on earth.
So then, how do we all become enlightened while also saving ourselves and all lifeforms on earth and keeping the oceans alive and plant as many trees as possible and then prevent them from all blowing down in winds over 50 to 100 mph?
Right mindful compassion simply means to become so efficient at compassion that we all live 100s or thousands of years here on earth or on other planets while keeping as many other lifeforms we love here on earth alive too.
