Why is religion often both the worst and the best thing that ever happens to someone?

I think it's about the "Fear of God" that people get when first being introduced to God.

But, Fear hopefully, turns to respect and love, otherwise it just turns to hate and resentment towards God.

Which is the whole problem of religions in the first place.

Because often people are being manipulated into slaves for money or power around the world.

It might be very subtle but very often people are seduced or scared to death into giving up their volition to religions around the world. And this then makes slaves of them.

So, a relationship with God can be very positive. But a relationship with Religion is usually both good and bad sort of like a family or a marriage. It can be wonderful or it can be fatal either way.

So, understanding this about all religions gives one the ability to make their own decisions without being seduced or scared into some other reaction.

But, some people can never break free of their slavery for good or ill to one religion or another.

So, a personal relationship with God is preferable most of the time because of this because at least then you can be:

"Master of your own ship and Creator of your own destiny alongside of God".

God is Good

And if you have a personal relationship with God you cannot help become good too.

And just remember, Religions are not about God really ever at all, they are about money and power and manipulation of people's lives.

Your personal relationship with God can always be good.

But, your relationships with religions can be very bad very good or anything in between.

For me, I'm lucky to be alive at all after what happened to me.

Many millions of people have killed themselves in the last several thousand years because of what religions did to them. Whether they jumped off a cliff or joined an army it's all the same in that they are all dead now.

But, now I'm free from religions I'm never Going back.

But, my relationship with God includes Jesus and Buddha and angels and Mary the mother of Jesus and all her angels 24 hours a day. And the 21 Taras of Tibetan Buddhism are all there too and Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and many other saints and angels as well.

Go with God. Be Free in the heart of God.

But never expect any religion to be anything but both good and bad and everything in between. Because that is what they all naturally are 24 hours a day around the world.
