I was trying to figure out where the haze is coming from?
Yesterday coming down from Castle Lake I saw something that looked like smoke or haze to the north so I started to search online for Oregon Fires. I found there have been some smaller fires in different places in Oregon that might be causing the haze here in the Mt. Shasta area. Last year this time the fires were so bad I had to leave because I was having trouble breathing because I'm mostly adapted to breathing at sea level most of the time. However, I have also been using "Cell food" which helps you do better more quickly at higher altitudes. So, cell food might also work for people trying to function at higher altitudes breathing smoke too so they don't pass out as easily from smoke inhalation at altitude.
