Light to Heavy rain from Santa Barbara to Vancouver, British Columbia

For the SF Bay area this is very unusual (even though last year we had more rain in may than in the last 100 years). Usually it never rains after April until around September or October in most of California. The exceptions to this are north of San Francisco in the Sierras and places like Redding and Mt. Shasta and further north. But, from about San Diego  to San Francisco and Sacramento there is usually almost no rain at all (except the occasional thunder storm).

So, like I said this is very very unusual now and likely possibly a more permanent change to normal weather from San Diego north into Oregon.

This will continue to allow wild grasses and flowers and trees to grow higher and many wild grasses are already 4 to 6 feet high so far this year in the wilds especially things like wild oats among the Oak Trees that grow almost everywhere from San Diego North in the Coastal ranges and rolling hills.

I'm watching the rain come down right now as I write this onto my backyard deck and back yard here on the northern California coast. Today is May 30th 2020 at about 10:05 AM PDT here in California.
