In other words just how dumb does Trump think the American people Are?
You would have to be a complete moron to believe what he is saying now. But, there are some people that are so blindly loyal to him (even though he isn't at all to them) that they are willing to die of coronavirus (along with their families) rather than to change their loyalty away from him.
The problem is loyalty is supposed to be a circle (a two way street). You are ONLY loyal to those who are also loyal to you. Otherwise, being loyal is often suicidal like it is now for people loyal to Trump.
