It's very important to fact check candidates whether they be presidential or on any other level because a lot of what is said is lies or at the very least misleading. So, unless all candidates are fact checked by people who just want the truth no matter who it is you are going to have many problems.
No candidate for anything is perfect. This is why all candidates facts need to be checked especially when you have a congenital liar as we do in president Trump who always makes things up as he goes along without regard to what actually is a fact or not.
