If there are no rents being paid on apartments or rental homes landlords cannot be expected to maintain rental units or to pay their mortgages

Because the money they use to maintain and to paint rental units and to fix appliances comes directly from their rent that they are paid. If they are not being paid rent there is no real way for landlords to pay to maintain these rental units nationwide.

So, we are moving into Catch 22 situation where rental units are starting to be foreclosed upon nationwide by Landlords who can no longer make mortgage payments because no one is paying them rent. So, the landlords now will start to go bankrupt and lose their rental properties because renters cannot be evicted nationwide in many states.
