Geshe Lobsang Gyatso: a Spiritual Friend Lama

The Title of Geshe in Gelukpa Tibetan Buddhism takes until one is likely in their late 30s or early 40s to attain. So, this title is literally "Spiritual Friend" to all Tibetan Buddhists. I guess this person would make the best Teacher and counselor according to Gelukpa Tibetan Buddhist traditions and maybe in some ways similar in some sorts to Doctor of Divinity in Christian Circles. The Gelukpa lineage is the same as the Dalai Lama. However, he is considered to be the head of all the lineages of Tibetan Buddhism too.

We called Geshe Lobsang Gyatso,  Geshela as an endearment and I first met him in Santa Cruz in 1983. However, I found him a very kind and polite being and my whole family (children included) loved him and his demeanor. It was difficult to understand his English because he had a very thick Kham Tibetan Accent. He left Lhasa at 12,000 feet altitude with the Dalai Lama when he escaped the Chinese strafing them with fighter planes as they tried to escape to India which most of them succeeded (although some were killed in the strafing from fighter planes) as they tried to get to India before they died.

He also went to Dharamshala that the East Indians gave to the Dalai Lama to build a Tibetan Government in Exile there in India.

Eventually, Geshela returned to Dharamshala but before he left California around 1984 I believe, he said he would be at a certain place in India, Bodhgaya, India on a certain date.

When Vajra Kiliya (a form of Vajrasattva) "Diamond Vow" came to me and told me that I was going to India within a few months (news to me at the time) we wound up (my family and I) in Bodhgaya at that date which was we then found out "The Kalachakra Tantra" was being given to 500,000 people there by the Dalai Lama in Bodhgaya. Most of the people were dressed in traditional Dress which was really amazing too even though there were about 10,000 of us in one area that were from all over the world and not from specifically Tibetan Buddhist Countries like Tibet and Nepal and India and other countries and regions in that area.

The main initiation that Geshela gave that he was known for was "White Tara" which is a Long Life White Tara practice and initiation. There are other Long Life practices also like a Padmasambhava Long life Practice as well.

If you are open to being initiated into Tibetan Buddhism I would recommend receiving a White Tara Long Life empowerment or a Padmasambhava Long life empowerment or both during these times, especially if you think you might be a reincarnated Tibetan Tulku.

Because then you need to stay alive through all of this so you can help mankind survive and become more enlightened on into the future.

I have had many empowerments in Tibetan Buddhism including the Long Life White Tara and the Long life Padmasambhava practice and this sort of thing will help you extend your lives so you can be of benefit to all mankind on into the future for 10s, hundreds or thousands of years into the future.

We are all on the cusp of a time when many of us might live thousands of years if we can just make it through these times now here on earth.

By God's Grace
