I realized today that Christmas Decorations are a way to help people survive this year!

Our housekeeper had already put Christmas lights on the railings around our deck in the back yard for us around Thanksgiving. Tonight I was getting out of the hot tub and realized things were getting so bad for the world that actually putting up Christmas decorations in the front yard might just save lives!

So, we have this old 10 year old inflatable Santa so before I even put clothes on I went in my hooded bathrobe out in the dark to get an electric cord and install this inflatable Santa in our front yard. However, I realized there are some new volunteer baby pine trees I needed to not step on in the dark out there and so turned on the night light on my smart phone so I didn't step on them while setting up the Santa in the dark. Then I realized all the internal lights in the Santa were burned out and so it wouldn't light up when I plugged it into the fan that keeps it inflated. So, then I went into the back yard to see if I could pull off some of the white lights from the rails to the deck but then realized my wife would get angry at me if I did that. Plus I couldn't find easily in the dark where the sets of lights joined anyway so this was just as well.

Then I asked my wife about lights for the Santa in the front and she had some that were battery operated that sort of were LED flashing lights so I put batteries in them and got them working (two sets) and installed them on the Santa. So now the Santa sort of looks like the transporter room in Star Trek when they transport and also sort of reminds me a little of the 2 Kurt Russell Santa movies in the special effects it gives and looks really magical with all the twinkling white lights.

Then so I could cheer up my kids and Grand kids I sent through What's app a video of what he looks like now all lit up with flashing lights in the dark in my front yard. So, find a way to cheer your family up too because this coronavirus thing looks like it's going to get much worse before it gets better maybe by April or May of 2021.

Merry Christmas!
