Whether or not you are a reincarnated Tulku you can still be "Living Dharma"

My parents were both mystical Christian Ministers in Los Angeles and in charge of a church from the time I was 6 to 12 years old when my mother's father passed on and my mother sort of had a nervous breakdown regarding un-dealt with issues with her father.

It was a different era than now because he passed on in 1960 then.

I was taught (though we used different words then) to generate positivity through prayer. So, when I learned about Tibetan Buddhism and compassion it reminded me of Christian Forgiveness. Forgiveness is a specific way you use compassion to forgive the wrongs of others.

In Tibetan Buddhism you are approaching it a little differently than that because they believe in reincarnation. So, one develops compassion by seeing all living beings as having once been their mother.

But, if you don't believe in reincarnation this cannot work for you and then Christian Forgiveness works in a similar manner.

So, being Living Dharma mostly means you see it is your personal responsibility to have compassion for all life in the past, present and future of the entire universe. And through your compassion you work to enlighten all beings in the past, present and future of the entire universe.

And my point of view is "To have fun doing that".

If you know anything about giving, "Giving is much better than receiving". many people don't believe this but it is my experience that I have had much more joy saving other people's lives than it has given me joy to save my own life.

But, if you want to have the fun of saving other's lives, you have to save your own life first or else you are dead and cannot help anyone here on earth.

So, in saving others you also have to save yourself first.

So, being living Dharma would be that you are saving everyone else while you are saving yourself at the same time.

How does one do this?

One looks for wise opportunities to help others without jeapordizing either their lives or your own.

So, it is about practical compassion as opposed to idiot compassion in all things in your life in regard to helping yourself while you help others.

Being LIVING DHARMA can be fun and if you see it as fun then it is from them on.

So, by being Living Dharma Long enough you would tend to become a stronger and stronger generator of Living Dharma for everyone in the universe in the past, present and future.

The way this works for me is I still see myself as a Mystical Christian Tibetan Buddhist which is acceptable from a Christian point of view because Christians generally don't consider Buddhism a religion  but rather a philosophy sort of the way most Christians see Hatha Yoga or accupressure or accupuncture. So, because it is considered to be a philosophy many ministers and priests around the world are Christian Buddhists.

When you have compasssion AND you have forgiveness, these are two interrelated and extremely powerful tools in saving the souls of the people around you 24 hours a day through actions and prayers.

So, whether you call it 'Living Dharma' or whether you call it: "Christian Forgiveness" it doesn't really matter in some ways because you are saving lives doing what you are doing.
