Not only power lines but also transportation also might have to start going underground across countries this century

This commercial cracks me up: It goes: "Hey Siri. Remind me to watch Resident Alien on Syfy."

But maybe you need to like Syfy Channel and Science fiction in general for this to tickle your funny bone.

I was thinking about transportation during 300 mph winds various places here on earth. I think we are within about 10 to 20 years of 200 mph wind velocities at 200 to 300 mph in various storms and hurricanes more. So, in order to travel with winds this fast and strong you would have to find ways to "Keep vehicles on the ground or under the ground so they wouldn't fly through the air in these kinds of temporary winds." 

So, thinking about how people are going to keep their vehicles on the ground might be important now before 200 to 300 mph winds start to periodically occur in Hurricanes, Storms, Tornadoes etc. 

This century and after it's always going to be: "Adapt or Die!" at every single point. So, preparing in any way you can for the inevitable future might be important as we each get signals by watching our surroundings during this century.

At first, Things like Covid-19 seem like anomalies in the sequences of life here on earth but they will likely become the norm not the exception as the Century progresses. The same will be true of periodic higher and higher wind velocities directly caused by increasing heat stored in the oceans over time.

Eventually expecting all trees to blow down periodically in various places around the world might become useful to everyone over time.

Note: 

After thinking about this more if the winds were not too high you could just build aluminum shelters periodically along roads or tunnels underground to drive into periodically specifically for winds above a point where cars and trucks might be blown over or go air born.

There are many temporary or more permanent ways to deal with higher and higher winds over this century and following centuries and many methods of surviving these winds likely will be tried along the way.

For example, if you are walking you could tie yourself to a tree when winds get over 100 mph or tie yourself to a block of cement or a house or anything you think will not be blown away in these winds. However, this does not protect you from flying projectiles in the winds like signs, pieces of aluminum roofing, pieces of wood or limbs etc.

I suppose you could tie yourself downwind of the wind to the side of a tree so the projectiles would tend to hit the tree and not you hopefully or home or piece of cement or car you tie yourself too. There are many ways to survive serious wind situations and  if you are creative enough you might even survive that experience.

I was thinking about curved aluminum shelters where a backhoe or other heavy equipment first digs down and builds a road underground for a short stretch puts up an aluminum shelter in this trench as wide as a road and then covers this shelter with dirt so the wind cannot blow this shelter away. This would be put periodically over potentially windy sections of highways around the world as winds increase.

This would prevent cars and trucks from blowing over or completely blowing away for hundreds of feet or miles in heavy winds above 200 mph.

A 100 mph wind might pick up some people and blow them through the air and into a tree or building and that would be the end of them. But, usually it's around 150 mph winds in gusts that will basically pick up anyone not tied to something and blow them through the air into a tree or building or hill or mountain or other solid object. But, if you are carried up 50 or 100 feet into the air even on the Great Plains with no obstacles at all you shouldn't expect to survive something like this either.

The point of all this isn't to scare you but rather to prepare you for what is coming this century to various places unexpectedly worldwide in ferocious storms like hurricanes, tornadoes, heavy winds off the oceans or plains and various other expected or unexpected anomalies like what just happened to Texas where the power stations all failed because they weren't properly weatherized for this Polar Vortex Event.
