Safe back in the Greater SF Bay Area

we left Santa Barbara a little after noon and returned home by nightfall in the Greater SF Bay area. It was about 65 I think when we left Santa Barbara but it was around 98 in Paso Robles today too. So, basically we saw everything from fog between Santa Barbara and then we went inland to Buellton and it was sunny and then it was foggy around Pismo Beach and then just before going inland to San Luis Obispo. We stopped in Atascadero to get something to eat on the way also. But, all in all it was a very beautiful spring day with very high temperatures which likely are unusual for Paso Robles this time of year too. But, then again records are being broken on the east and west coasts for all sorts of things right now weather wise, aren't they? It seemed like they might have gotten the fires out near Camp Roberts since we drove south to Santa Barbara a week ago too.

As of 10:30 pm it's still 98 degrees in Death Valley by the way and was 118 degrees today there. When we reached our home on the coast it was I think 62 degrees Fahrenheit before sunset.
