When people say that "Their whole town is gone" they are serious because over 1000 homes in a city in Kentucky are completely gone along with anyone who was inside of them who wasn't in a deep cement shelter with an iron door basically. So, you have reports of (just in Kentucky) of at least 50 or more people being dead. They don't know yet because they are still finding bodies all over the countryside which is what happens in a tornado like the ones that hit there.
We have seen Global Warming in Flooding various places where basement walls were knocked down and killed or drowned people in their basement apartments in the east. We have seen Fires which resulted in Mud Slides like the one in Montecito California which is a suburb of Santa Barbara. We have seen Global Warming caused fires burn millions of acres of land in California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado etc. And we have seen years where these fires continue through December and Janauary right into the next year. (hopefully this year is not one of these). So, at least in Northern California we have had enough wetness (not much rain but enough to stop fires from starting) and the wetness has stopped the fires hopefully for at least this winter.
But, the heat building up in the oceans gets converted into evaporation and winds. Heat creates evaporation of the oceans and storms and wind. And the more heat trapped in the oceans which are blue or green (which absorbs a lot of heat from the sun) causes worse and worse winds and higher and higher evaporation which causes bigger and bigger storms. So, the heat rising in the oceans will create worse tornadoes and hurricanes day by day from now on unless there is more global dimming in that area by whatever means it occurs. And the problem with Global Dimming is it can reduce crop yields wherever it occurs and right now the whole world is from about 4% to 20% global Dimming at present. The higher the global dimming the less light available to actually grow food for people or animals by the way.
