What is 2.5% of 140 million Americans with Omicron between now and March 2022? 3,500,000 people in U.S. going to hospital in next three months

IF we have 140 million Americans getting Omicron between now and March of 2022 this would mean if I use the 2.5% of Omicron people testing positive going to the hospital in South Africa this would then mean that 3,500,000 people (Americans) will be going to the hospital with Omicron between now and March 2022.

I think this is a heads up for Hospitals and clinics all over the U.S.

Because 3 million 500 Thousand people in the hospitals and clinics of the U.S. is beyond any number I have ever heard of at one point in time (over 3 months).

The main problem will be that people with conditions other than Omicron might not be able to be helped by hospitals in areas where not enough people are vaccinated or boosted.

The other problem with this use of South African Facts is that they were not in winter when this percentage was applied but likely spring time or early summer instead because they are south of the Equator.

The other question I might have would be: "How many of these people were vaccinated?"

If the answer was none then that would be similar to the ones here in the U.S. going to the hospital with Omicron too.

However, if vaccination immunity fades after 10 weeks this might also apply to boosters as well. So, many people here in the U.S. are going to be taking risks and not realizing what risks they are actually taking because they might not know about the 10 weeks immunization fade going on now.
