This might sound over the top but I have to recognize the source of my information.
The Galactic Sentience (the present ruler of the galaxy who lives millions of years or more) told me when I soul traveled to the center of the Galaxy that his species that I call the Creators (who have created all the Galaxies (originated in Dark or Unknown matter).
What they found was (sort of like how we build farms and ranches) his species found that if they built matter galaxies alongside anti-matter galaxies that they could have more children who would survive.
From our point of view as humans this allowed the creator species that creates all galaxies to move from what we might call as humans from a hunter gatherer society in Dark or unknown matter to a more stable way of growing their families much like when humans started building farms and ranches around the world when they moved away from being hunter gatherers.
So, thinking of the Galaxy as a Farm that the Creator species has created, related families of creators create these galaxies one by one in order to better live and procreate as a species.
Because they can live in matter, anti-matter and dark or unknown matter and their natural state is in the 96% of the universe that is dark or unknown matter.
In this state time and space don't exist (at least as we know it in our matter galaxy).
So, the problem scientists are having with Dark or unknown matter is that the physics properties of unknown matter are not the same as we have here in our matter galaxy. So, in order to understand all this a whole new branch of physics would have to be created different than what we have now.
Remember, only 4% of the known universe is composed of Galaxies and matter.
