David H. Petraeus: "You don't want to back someone with nuclear weapons into a corner"

 begin partial quote from:

Zelensky told CNN's Jake Tapper in an exclusive interview from the office of the president in Kyiv on Friday that Putin could turn to either nuclear or chemical weapons because he does not value the lives of the people of Ukraine.
"Not only me -- all of the world, all of the countries have to be worried because it can be not real information, but it can be truth," Zelensky said, switching into English to emphasize his point.
"Chemical weapons, they should do it, they could do it, for them the life of the people, nothing. That's why," Zelensky said. "We should think not be afraid, not be afraid but be ready. But that is not a question for Ukraine, not only for Ukraine but for all the world, I think."
      end quote.
The point is that Putin "Rightly or Wrongly, has now been backed into a corner."
So, he will have to somehow prove that the world still cannot mess with Russia.
However, nuking Ukraine or using chemical weapons on Ukraine could also lead
to the end not only of Ukraine temporarily or permanently but also the end of all life
      upon earth.
It's a giant game of chicken. Russia is not any longer the formidable Soviet Union.
It's sort of a Has Been big nation on some levels. They aren't using capitalism, or
Communism or democracy to their advantage. They have become an Autocratic
State with in some ways no future. So, defending the Russian Empire might have
been a mistake by Putin because everyone around him lied to him.
"So, What's he going to do?"
Knowing Putin he will do whatever is possible for him to continue the Russian Empire.
But, instead by attacking Ukraine he might have begun the end of the Russian Empire.
This is the problem. So, he might feel he has no choice but to nuke or chemical
weapon Ukraine or even all of Europe. He might feel he has no choice with the
mess things have become so far. This is the problem like Petraeus outlined in:
"You don't want to back someone with nuclear weapons into a corner"
However, from my point of view PUTIN has backed himself into a corner. But, the result
could be the same thing with nukes and chemical weapons the only way "Forward?"
for him. But, this might also be the end of Russia (at least with Putin at it's head).
