Everyone keeps trying to buy all our used vehicles: Why?

Because they cannot buy what they want for a decent price or if you buy new you have to pay a fortune and then wait 6 months for it. So, you cannot even drive what you want to buy before you order it these days. So, like for example, my youngest daughter we bought her a car when she was 16 in Private school which was new then a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. However, she hasn't driven it much and when we took it in to get it serviced it was like a new car with only about 25,000 miles on it. So, the dealership wanted to buy it because how often do you find a 2013 sonata that is like new?

Then my wife has a 2018 Forrester that we bought because my older daughter had one and I could fit in it even at 6 foot 5 inches. So, mostly trucks and Forresters and maybe Mercedes Cars are made for someone as tall as I am. This is why we looked at buying a Mercedes recently until we realize we would have to order one without driving it. I'm just not into buying a car I cannot drive first to see if it will work for me.

This is another reason why people want to buy used cars because they can at least drive them before they buy them. You don't know what you are getting until you drive it to see if you are compatible with the car. When you rent a car, for example, it doesn't matter as much if you are compatible with the car as long as you can fit inside it and actually figure it out enough to drive in it. maybe you can't get the air conditioner or radio to work on a rental car but then that's pretty normal unless you ask the rental dealer how to fully use that car. (many workers in those places know as little about that car as you do by the way). So, unless you get a manual you might not ever learn to use the air conditioner or radio by the way because these days it isn't obvious like these controls were before the 1960s. Anyone could get anything to work before because things were more universal and less individualistic than now.

So, if people want to buy your used car if you need that car I wouldn't sell it. Why?

Because you are not going to be able to replace it for 6 months with a new car, that's why. Because that is how long it takes now to order and to have delivered a new one anywhere.
