They are saying to us that the smoke is extremely heavy and low to the ground and it looks really bad. Also, I did some research and there are two fires south of Yreka one at around Oberlin south of where it crosses Interstate 5 and one up near Antelope mountain to the west of Interstate 5. It says the one near Oberlin is a lightning caused fire which they have named SKU LATE JULY LIGHTNING COMPLEX 2022.
The one near Antelope Mountain to the west of Interstate 5 is called Scarface. I don't have any more information regarding these fires than this.
