Plasmoids might be useful in self generating energy

I was listening to a man talking about this today and how Mazda might be trying to apply this to generating power. It appears Nicola Tesla had patents regarding this sort of thing earlier in the 20th Century after he invented Alternating Current and Fluorescent lighting and Tesla Coils.

The plasmoid generator would have no moving parts and would somehow magnetically through resonance self generate electricity.

In a plasmoid in this fashion you have plasma held in a certain state by magnetic fields.

I have always thought of earth at core as a plasma being because under the crust the earth is a molten core sort of like plasma in the sun. It's only the crust that is cool enough for life as we know it and the crust even goes on the sea floor under the oceans as well.
