* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 18
inches with 2 to 3 feet over higher terrain. Winds gusting as
high as 60 mph over high terrain.
* WHERE...South Central Siskiyou County and North Central and
Southeast Siskiyou County, including Mount Shasta City,
Dunsmuir, McCloud, Tennant, and portions of Interstate 5 and
Highways 89 and 97 particularly at Snowman Summit, Dead Horse
Summit, and Black Butte Summit.
* WHEN...From 7 AM Thursday to 4 PM PST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall accumulation rates of 1 to 2
