Left home in the SF Bay area and it was foggy and drizzly almost like rain along the coast where we were. Another friend texted after we got on the road to say it was sort of like that all day today. However, as soon as we got on the 101 and headed south it was mostly sunny the whole way and around 94 degrees in Paso Robles. Then in San Luis Obispo area we got to Pismo Beach and it was foggy like north but soon we were near Santa Maria where it was sunny again. So, the trip was relatively pleasant just getting away from the drizzly coast to warmer temperatures now that the heat wave of over 100 degree temperatures inland have given away to somewhat lower temperature in the 80s and 90s inland instead of the 100s.
So, all in all a nice trip south.
