56 degrees on the coast at almost 11 AM

This doesn't happen a lot to say something like this because we live along the ocean and the ocean keeps us warmer than this by now even in the winter time. However, a storm is coming through and will hit us this afternoon so this is a part of it.

However, it's also true that it has been snowing to the north of us especially places like Mt. Shasta through the High Sierras and over Interstate 80 over from Sacramento to Reno since last night. Very cloudy here and raining a little to the north of us right now.

I'm glad the last storms damage to our back yard when the big 100 foot tall tree went down from our neighbor's has been cleaned up (at least on our side of the fence which has now temporarily been repaired to keep our dog from wandering in the yard next door.

Also, I could hear generators running only further away from us now so even though about 90% of the people have power again including most friends of ours many people still are without power and had to run their generators still to keep the food in their refrigerators safe to eat and to have lighting and Internet and Cable TV etc. However, having power mostly doesn't keep your home warm. So, unless you have a fireplace there is nowhere to get warm during a power outage here on the coast unless you either stay at a friend or relative's that has power or get a hotel room.

Luckily, because my wife is still recovering from her operation we are very grateful to have been able to keep our power even though a big tree came down in our yard.

Thank you God for Power!
