65 here on the coast which is pretty good for 10 am.

 Looked out this morning and another sunny day and was really surprised it was already 65 degrees at 10 am. My wife and our housekeeper were already up because I'm more of a late night person than a morning person. However, my wife is a morning person and so is our housekeeper. It's been a lot to get through the last month because of my wife's knee replacement and surviving Covid. Luckily our housekeeper didn't get it even though the nurse (a friend of my wife's from the East Coast) got it too along with me. The good part of this would be that none of us had to wear masks (except for when our housekeeper visited) to cook and clean and all that. She said she made potato pancakes and raspberries and boysenberries and blue berries for me too which is a nice start to the day. Our dog is hiding under the bed right now on the side where my wife sleeps. This month I think has been very hard on her because she is joined to the hip with my wife and sort of takes my wife's relative incapacitation personally I think. So, our dog and I and my wife will be grateful when my wife fully recovers from her knee surgery. The nurse has returned east and so mostly it is just my wife and I here now. However, my wife and our dog went to the beach together for the first time since my wife's surgery yesterday. My wife waited in the car while our dog and I walked on the beach and watched the sunset all together. So, yesterday was a good day in this.
