By the way the worst and most terrifying earthquake in 1971 I believe (the San Fernando Earthquake) was around a 7.1 earthquake. And this likely caused the worst damage including Freeway overpasses collapsing and people and police dying in this one. I was in the desert in Yucca Valley and it was sort of like a nuclear Bomb had dropped and it went on forever. I had friends who were in college and all their hard bound college books can down on top of them an injured them from their book cases. Then it broke out all their windows and power lines were sparking and parked cars were rolling up and down the street they said outside. The power lines were dancing around in the streets because they were broken and sparking and Transformers were exploding too. The point being that there are only about 15 7.0 earthquakes a year on earth. They are very very serious and people die if these things happen on land if they are near to the epicenter.
