Because of Trump and MAGA Republicans Hunter (whether he was ever guilty of anything or not) was bound to spend the rest of his life in jail and die there. So, Biden did the only thing he could live with given Trump being in a vindictive mood which was to pardon his son for all his activities the last 11 years.
Though this doesn't look good at all and reminds us of Trump getting away (likely literally of murder) in his life it does speak to the crazy crazy times we live in with a Criminal who was just elected as president.
