Yes. I have been noticing this all over the lower 48 states where often there is maybe only one little storm and the rest of the country is bare and likely sunny. I have noticed this lately that less and less of the time are larger areas covered with storms than before. For example, there is less cloud cover here in California and the weather has been much warmer mostly in November and December than usual with much less fog and clouds. However, here the foggiest time of the year is usually summers sometimes called "The June Glooms" in the San Francisco Area.
It's possible that desalination will be necessary for people to have enough water various places
