The problem is that many more people would die than during Covid Worldwide if bird flu becomes air born sort of like the Spanish Flu of 1918 to 1920 that killed more American Soldiers than World war I did.
One of the many causes of things like Covid and Bird Flu is extinction of various bird species around the world. Every species that goes extinct leaves a gap and usually those that survive that fill in that gap are more susceptible to new diseases than the ones going extinct. I'm not exactly sure why this is true worldwide.
With the number of species of various living things going extinct daily and yearly we have to expect many many pandemics to kill of many of mankind this century. This is just what happens at these levels of extinctions of various creatures on earth. it isn't just animals or birds going extinct it is also plant species going extinct caused by global warming and nowhere for seeds to migrate to to stay alive as a species.
