For me, writing keeps me sharp in many different ways. It keeps my mind going here at age 77. It allows me to ask questions that keeps me and others alive through whatever happens here on earth. Without thinking enough people don't survive very well. Without asking the right questions people don't live very long or survive very well.
From my point of view it started with watching people die in my church because they wouldn't go to doctors. Believing that God is going to heal you from all your ailments is very well and good and often happens (but not always). So, without knowledge and wisdom and help from Medical Professionals people often die young. It has always been this way.
So, having whooping cough at 2 and then a concussion with seizures from ages 10 to 15 years old made me more scientifically serious in my life because I had almost died several times between age 2 and 15 already.
It also made me a much kinder person (near death) because I didn't want anyone to suffer the way I had whether they were my perceived friend or enemy. This helped me develop compassion for everyone in my life.
"No one gets out of here alive".
Understanding this helped me help myself and to help you too. So, each of us can live a long and healthy and helpful life to ourselves and others.
So far I have made it to 77 1/2 years old thinking in this way and praying for myself and everyone else here on earth.
By God's Grace
