Last week was difficult but okay

If you know what I mean.

How many of you would have been okay having only Chicken Broth, Jello, Orange juice and Lemonade from Sunday through about Thursday this week. I found that after about 5 days of this I was pretty spacey from no solid food and no real protein of much use to me. However, it is also true that I had fasted on water for 4 days and other times on Organic Apple juice for 4 days but I always found that after about 4 to 5 days it being sort of dangerous (at least for me to continue doing this) though I have fasted as long as 7 days on Water and lemon juice and a little maple syrup to cut the toxins being released by my body to reduce headache after the 4 to 6th day of fasting.

I also have done 4 day Watermelon fasts at least once a year to reduce plaque in my arteries and veins regarding heart health and staying alive on going.

And of course at 35 I once ate no food or water for 96 hours (4 days) doing a vision Quest while praying too. But, like I said I always found that over 4 to 5 days of any fast wasn't very useful to me. It's possible that I was going into a hypoglycemic state or something after about 4 to 5 days too then.

So, when I got out of the Hospital Tuesday this had already been my diet since last Sunday.

But on one level I was okay because I got home away from the hospital as soon as I realized I wasn't going to die this week or likely the next either.

So, it was okay to be home to go outside when it was sunny and sit on my deck looking at our pine trees and oak trees and Roses and other plants and flowers and feel okay and at peace because I wasn't in the hospital anymore and to do what I wanted to without people waking me up every hour or two whether I wanted them to or not.

So, yes, not being able to eat normally was a lot but the alternative might have been to be dead this week too. So, which would you prefer "Eating what you want or being alive".

To me at least there was no choice really. I wanted to be alive for my wife and children and grandchildren and friends.

By God's Grace
