The unexamined life is not worth living?

I think a way to look at this statement would be to say that a human might examine their life and an animal might not. But, is this completely true? Possibly not.

However, for the moment let's pretend it's true.

Who are you?

Who am I?

This is the beginning of examining my life and yours.

And don't tell me I am my father's son or that you are your mother's daughter.

Who are you?

What are you about?

Where are you going in life?

What is it you want to accomplish while you are here on earth?

So, the whole point of saying "The unexamined life is not worth living" is to say unless you ask yourself enough of these questions and are honest with yourself about all this "How could you ever be happy in life?" EVER?

This is why: "The unexamined life is not worth living."

You don't have to believe this by the way. The whole point of this is to ask the questions that will make you actually want to be alive at all.

If you can answer these questions you might find a way to stay alive that you actually like.

Then you might have a life actually worth living.

IN the end it all is what you want and what makes you happy.

If people are not happy enough they tend to self destruct directly or indirectly.

I have observed this my whole life.

so, by examining your life you might find reasons to stay alive that will make you happy enough to actually stay alive and live to a ripe old age.

Though I was very unhappy from 21 to 25 I have been pretty happy most of the time since I was 30 to 33 years old (most of the time) (except when my father died when I was 37). And even then I had my son to stay alive for. Since then I have had two more biological daughter too and then even more reason to stay alive for them.

By God's Grace
