At first your body steals from it's muscle tissue but until you go to 11 or 12 hours or more without food your body will then start to lose weight from fat. A friend of mine who has researched this was talking to me about this today and this is how he lost weight down to where he wanted to be too.
I have noticed that if I sleep longer and only take my medicines but don't eat any food until noon or 1 pm that I always lose weight that day of 1 pound or more.
So, I believe he is right about this. Otherwise you either reach plateaus but don't go any lower.
So, the main trick to losing weight is not to eat anything but water and your medicines for over 11 to 12 hours and hopefully up to 18 hours if you are serious about losing weight.
Of course you need to prove this to yourself by weighing yourself naked (or near naked) whenever you are through sleeping for that day.
NOTE: The other good thing about going without any food at all for 18 hours straight is that you are entering the world of Intermittent fasting which allows your body to heal itself also.
This is one of the main reasons I'm still alive at 77 because digesting food takes 90% of your energy so when your body is not digesting food it can heal itself with that 90% energy being used for something more useful to your ongoing survival in a human body here on earth.
