Brrr!

The last 24 hours has to be the coldest 24 hours since we got here. Plus the power went out last night from 7:30 to 10 pm.  Presently it's 33 degrees at around 9 pm Thursday night outside and it's supposed to be 27 degrees Fahrenheit by morning sometime.

Today we walked at a nearby park with a stream that goes through it which is really beautiful but I found I wore my heaviest winter jacket that I bought in Vienna at a Big and Tall Store because I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall. Then I put on a wool knit cap too today for the first time since I got here. Before I have just worn a baseball cap and added a warm hood if necessary before this. But, of course I wasn't trying to climb mt. Shasta because my climbing days are over even though there is a chance after my hernia operation that I might ski once again downhill or Cross country mountaineering with metal edges by next year too. But, then again I'm now 78 years old so we will see about all of this. But, it's true my favorite thing to do most of my life is to ski on Mt. Shasta. It's a truly remarkable experience and always has been. Nothing quite like it!
