I wrote the following link last night in the dark here at our hotel:
Power went off in Mt. Shasta at around 7:30 Wednes...
However, luckily since we only have electric heat and it was 31 degrees at the time going down to 28 degrees it was really nice when the power come back on around 10 PM Wednesday night!
It knocked out all power to Mt. Shasta, McCloud and Weed in this area which is a lot of cold people if they didn't also have wood stoves to keep warm with enough wood to burn for emergencies!
We had multi-wick candles and the manager of the hotel said we were the only hotel room she could see that actually had any light at all. (my wife also had a headlamp and reading lamp so she just started reading a book. I just decided to get in bed to stay warm and went to sleep and the lights woke me up at 10 pm when they came back on.
