Which is nice because the Fog is starting to burn off already exposing the light fluffy white clouds above the fog and the coastal mountain range the other side of the valley here in Santa Barbara. If you look at the geography of Santa Barbara it can have northwest facing beaches unlike most of California that mostly has western facing beaches. So, from where I'm presently sitting the sun seems to set directly into a mountain range which you don't usually get other places in the state. So, there are beaches in Santa Barbara where you can't always see the sun set into the ocean which is unusual too for California. So, Santa Barbara is an interesting place on many different fronts.
But, generally speaking it has the best year around temperatures of anywhere I have been on earth. The temperature range is likely 40 to 100 degrees most of the year which is a good range to be somewhere it never freezes or snows usually.
But, I can remember being in Tujunga as a child in Los Angeles County up against the mountains in the 1950s and it snowing almost a foot of snow then which is unusual for Los Angeles County any year before or since. But, you have to get the combination of really cold and rain at the same time which doesn't usually happen almost ever in Los Angeles county or here in Santa Barbara.
Anyway, it's nice to be outside as the fog burns off from the sun and I can see the mountains now across the valley and the bouganvillea and Jacaranda too.
