It is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale.
Obviously this law likely dates back to the late 1800s or early 1900s. Today it is illegal to shoot anywhere outside of a shooting range anywhere in Los Angeles County likely too.
