What is REAL?

Each of us has to define reality for ourselves. Often if we let others define reality for us we are dead pretty soon or crazy (one of the two or both).

So, the goal always was to me to become "Captain of your Own Ship and Master of your own Destiny".

It was the dream of Europeans and all countries on earth when they came to the U.S. starting in the 1500s and 1600s of figuring things out for themselves. And many were just too idealistic and died and many became "Captain of their own ship and Master of their own destiny and developed land in Farms and ranches all the way across the U.S. to now.

So, what is real?

Figuring out what is real for you is ALWAYS a matter of life or death for all of us.

So, the sooner you figure it out the longer you will live as a human being here on earth!

Is up really down and is left right and is right left?

The Government's disinformation campaign against UFOs is in full swing again. You can begin to read it in articles doubting the existence of UFOs.

It's sort of like in the past when women were raped no one would believe them and rich men had disinformation campaigns against the women they knocked up or worse the women just disappeared much like UFO abductees who talk about their experiences often disappeared since at least the 1930s.

Inconvenient truths are not allowed to exist in a realm of government or rich men. Same thing!

It's always been this way and likely always will be unfortunately.

Tell me one person on earth who could get away with what Trump has gotten away with who wasn't a billionaire to begin with?

UFOs are the same thing. When people try to question the truth of abductees or people who have seen UFOs or seen aliens or human beings from our future they are treating people sort of like Rape Victims.

When will it ever end?

The reality of all of this is actually that there was never a time here on earth when UFOs were not here. In fact genetically human beings are likely up to 50% from other planets than this one.

Why is this likely?

One reason is the genetic trait of speaking languages. What other creature on earth (except maybe whales and Porpoises) actually have verbal languages. I know Crows have sounds that mean different things like the awful sound a crow makes that is basically saying "DAnger Human being!" to other crows and birds.

But, the point is where did the trait of being able to speak whole languages come from? Off Planet?

What is real?

On the Cross Jesus said: "Eloi Eloi lama sabacthani!"

If you translate this from Aramaic which is Jesus' native language it means literally:

"My Gods My Gods How you have glorified me!"

But, if you take it from Aramaic to Greek and then to Latin and then maybe eventually to English they changed it to "My God! My God! Why have you Forsaken me?"

So, understanding this one phrase is completely mistranslated to mean the opposite of it's real meaning in the King James version of the Bible which likely came from Aramaic to Greek to Latin to English you have to kind of wonder what else did they screw up to mean the opposite of what it meant?

Also, Eloi, Eloi (are the Builders of the Galaxy) if you understand what I mean.

So, what I believe he was actually saying was my (Creator Gods who created the Galaxy) "How you have glorified me!"

In other words, he was one of the beings who created the galaxy along with his family. So, in this sense he likely was a son or a grandson of the Galactic Sentience who actually runs the Galaxy! And definitely a son or a grandson or a great Grandson of the Galactic Sentience who actually built the galaxy before the present one.

What is Real?

Everyone defines reality a little differently. However, I was very lucky to have a father who was an electrician so at least I knew from working with him what might kill me in a very real and present way.

for example, as a 12 year old I learned not to wear any rings while working as an electrician because electrical shorts would burn off any finger wearing a ring. So, if you wonder why electricians don't wear wedding rings at work it's because they don't want their fingers burnt off.

And beyond that if you wear a gold necklace that is not only finger losing like a ring it is fatal if you get a short through your necklace because that will kill you even with 110 volts. Another thing is that you can't use Aluminum ladders only fiberglass ones or wooden ones. Why? Because an aluminum ladder if a short goes through it will kill you.

So, I learned it's a lot like driving a car or truck. If you don't know certain things those things will almost certainly kill you.

So, I'm grateful I learned all these things so I'm still alive now because it got to me think very pragmatically like an engineer.

If you go through life just as an idealist and not a pragmatist often you are dead by 20 or 30 because you don't have practical experience in staying alive in different situations.

The point is that if I hadn't been trained to think this way when life got really hard in my early 20s for me to choose to be alive it's possible I wouldn't be alive now. Why?

Because if you haven't had to deal with real things in your childhood how can you be expected to deal with real things in adulthood either.

So, whooping cough, blunt trauma childhood epilepsy, learning to be an electrician summers from age 12 to 17 with my father, all these things taught me that life is difficult but survivable if you know the right things. Driving a car is survivable, riding a motorcycle is survivable, flying a plane or glider is survivable if you know the right things to ask and to think about so you don't die.

So, this engineering way I was taught to think about everything physical allowed me to survive my 20s and other times when life wasn't easy because I always had pragmatism and an engineering logical way to look at things so I didn't succomb to fantasy ways of thinking that often get people killed when they least expect it like wearing headphones or looking at their smartphone while they walk in front of a bus or truck that mows them down.

I remember that my father and grandfather often scared me in the ways that they thought and acted when I was a child. However, as a young adult and adult I realized this bravado and intensity also saved my life over and over again. People just got out of my way a lot because I was 6 foot 5 inches tall and if I had enough attitude I could and did accomplish anything just like my Dad and Grandad.

A lot of it was just the "Get out of my way I'm getting things done"  attitude that was everything I found especially in the 1960s and 1970s and 1980s when if you weren't that way you couldn't accomplish anything. In some ways it is still that way even today in 2020.

What is Real?

For a long time I have realized that what is actually real to people is what they believe is real.

It's not what most people can talk about, because it is subconsciously what you believe is real not necessarily something you can even speak about.

So then, conditioning (for all people) has a lot to do with what they actually believe.

Then there is what people are conditioned to believe and then what they actually believe which often are not the same things.

For example, you can raise a child in a religion and that child might never have believed that God or religion was real ever because that just didn't make any sense to them at all. And there really is no way to force anyone to believe anything in the end.

For example, people who believe in Trump have been conditioned in a very specific way. People who believe like the T-shirt says "It is better to be Russian than a Democrat" believe that all Gay people, for example, shouldn't exist or maybe should be killed in a white supremacist way often.

Does it mean they are bad people for believing this? No. Not necessarily unless they believe in accomplishing this through killing people.

It would be mostly a matter of the conditioning that they went through growing up that they bought into.

So, on one level these people likely are never going to change.

The other interesting thing I could say is that most people in the 1950s were just like them. I was a child then so I know what I'm talking about. And I met people in the 1950s that had been born as early as the 1840s and 1850s who traveled across America on the first trains and covered wagons even. And most of them were racist much more than Trump voters are now. They were much more against any ethnicity but their own. So, if they were WASPS (White angle Savon Protestant) they would hate anyone from any country but maybe the UK and the U.S. who came here from any country on earth.

So, we have come a long way but we still have a long long way to go. So, people think that this can happen overnight haven't lived the last 71 years with me and seen what I have seen.

Most progress has ONLY come from the older racist generations dying and the younger ones going to college.

Otherwise, nothing would have changed at all from the 1950s. This is my thought today.

So, it might take 500 years or never to create the world that some people want to live in. Which is why some people wear T-Shirts that say "Better Russian than Democrat" still today here in 2020 here in the U.S. who are Trump supporters.

There was a Trump rally I drove by in the city where I live and they were all pretty old and very white I noticed and seemed sort of disheartened at the response of drivers which was mostly just people staring at them and driving by because of course I live in California where Trump is not very popular at all.

What is Real?

This is different for each individual and life form on earth.

Reality is in the eye of the beholder. For example, I have been around both cynics and optimists and what I have found is if you are over 40 if you don't surround yourself with optimists you likely will be dead soon.

But, this was a hard won realization for me especially in my 20s when I was just as cynical as everyone else I knew then. But, the near death of suicide started to change how I saw things. I began to notice as I moved through life that people that were more optimistic didn't tend to become on drugs or alcohol or homeless as much as those who were ultimately cynical.

So, in some ways being too cynical is a death sentence to many people.

It's not that you want to be "pie in the sky unrealistic" it's that without a positive attitude often there is no hope at all for your or your future.

So, believing in yourself or believing in God or something or some higher power or Buddha or something and having some positive view of reality will often save your life.

But, often if people have too much PTSD experiences of their lives being threatened too much growing up or near death experiences, often they might no be able to overcome these things.

But then, I often meet people who have been through really horrific times growing up and they perservere and are okay too.

It seems like 1 out of 3 people are going to succeed no matter what.

It seems like another 1 out of the 3 is going to succeed given the right help in life.

It also seems like the last 1 out of 3 isn't going to succeed no matter how much help they are given.

When you look around you this appears to be just the way life really is.

So, defining which one you are might be helpful in how you choose to live your lives.

But, I can say that NEVER GIVING UP NO MATTER WHAT is the hall mark of one who always survives ANYTHING in life.

So, if you are determined enough, you likely can survive anything that comes and this might need to be people's actual goals if they want to live to old age.

What is real?

What do you believe is real?

It is important to understand that what is real to each one of us is based not upon physical reality but upon our beliefs of reality, some our own and some conditioned by where we grew up. If you have ever been to another country and talked to people who believe different things you would understand this. However, most people in the hinterlands of the United States might be white and very Christian. However, most of the world is neither white nor Christian. So, if you go anywhere else but a Christian nation don't expect people to agree with you as to what is real beyond technology.

And they even might not agree with what your definition is of technology either. And they might not think that technology including cell phones and cameras are good also. For example, in some peoples the belief is still there that Cameras steal your soul. So, be careful taking pictures of people in remote areas not in the U.S. or high tech nations or it could be the last thing you ever do.

What is Real?

I walked out in my backyard here on the northern California coast and green wild grass is coming up all over and the same for the front yard. It's good to see everything not brown and dead everywhere like one sees when there is a bad drought. El Nino has sort of fixed that (at least for now) with 136% of normal snowfall in the Sierras and enough rain here where I am (at least for now).

I could feel everyone around the world as I was walking around in the sunlight right now outside. Though it's partly cloudy and 54 degrees Fahrenheit presently I was feeling people sort of feeling the "overwhelm" of a new year and thinking about all the other past years of their lives and people dying and people being born and everything that happens in between and the overwhelm of all that which often makes me wonder how many of us are "Tough Enough" to watch all the deaths and births around us and all the loves and fears of people all over throughout their lives.

So, I was thinking about what is "Real" for people in general?

Reality appears to be a mix of physical reality, fantasies and beliefs people come up with from themselves, relatives and friends.

And this is all related to the cultures we grow up in. I have always been surprised how things that might make someone kill themselves in the U.S. or Europe or other places might just make people laugh in other more difficult countries to survive in.

Because most of the world is more adult by 4 years old than most people in the U.S. are by 25 or 30.

Is this a good thing? It likely depends upon your point of view.

When I was 4 I was grown up in many ways. I expected to be beat up by other children. I expected to be beaten by parents or aunts or uncles or Grandfathers or literally any adult because of the way things were in 1952 when I was 4.

Now things have changed a lot and I find children treated more like pets or cartoon characters and that worries me a lot. Because if you don't understand harsh realities by age 4 you likely never will.

And this is the real problem of treating children like pets rather than human beings. Pets might be okay if you are a good master as long as they live.

But, they will never hold a job or likely have puppies or any of that because they are fixed now by the Humane society often before you get them.

So, treating children like pets or cartoon characters tends to just make them dysfunctional as adults an subject to drug abuse and alcoholism rather than just facing the harshness of real life head on.

However, though I expected to be beaten (if I did something wrong or harmed someone) I also knew I was being  "Raised by a Village" sort of like "It takes a Village to raise a child".

So, though the harshness of life was there everyone I knew also took responsibility for me growing up right as well.

What is Real?

It's got to be because I'm still jet lagged because my mind doesn't usually work this way. However, this is what I came up with during the night.  It is a philosophical Question:

A Man who is homeless and hasn't eaten or drink any water for 2 to three days now is walking in the fields near Interstate 5 between Stockton and Santa Nella. In his delusional state he believes he sees Jesus in the lights of a truck but in his state he doesn't realize this is a semi truck moving at least 60 miles per hour. It is about 3 am at night and there is no one else on the road in either direction right then. The man walks toward Jesus and meet Jesus and is ecstatic to go to heaven with Jesus.

The Truck Driver is trying to stay awake and nodding off and trying to stay awake listening to rock and roll but thinking of his lady love far away and wishing he was with her. He hears a thump and wakes a little and sees something like a large bird or Crane flying over the right rail into a dry wash. He hoped the crane wasn't too injured and didn't die from flying into his truck and drives on.

The Man who is homeless's body lands in a dry wash and then it rains that night and water floats the man's body downstream several miles to the end of a dry pond and the body gets lodged in the mud at the edge of the pond.

A Man walking his dog 1 year later on a back road notices something that looks like a boney hand reaching up out of the dried mud and calls the police.

Here is the philosophical question:

Did a man die that night?
No. Because no one witnessed it.
Was there a hit and run.
No. Because no one witnessed it.
Were there skeletal remains found a year later by a man walking his dog and then by the police. Yes.
Because people witnessed this.
Did the homeless man go to Jesus and to heaven. Yes. Because that was his experience.
Did the Truck driver wonder the rest of his life about the Crane. Yes.

This is a variation of the philosophical question:

If a tree falls in a forest and no one witnessed it did it happen. The philosophical answer is: No.

And philosophical answers are the basis of all the sciences and how they tend to be presented to mankind.

Which begs the question: Should we change how we deal with reality. Maybe.

What is Real?

Or better said, "What is real to you right now?"

Because for most people what is real changes somewhat from day to day depending upon their experiences.

There was a line in a song that I liked from the 1960s "Nothing's going to change my world!"

So, at core I took this to heart. So, I decided to make my center strong and healthy so nothing could permanently throw me off ever again. And I succeeded in this for the most part. So, what is real to me stays more constant than it used to be growing up.

If you look at nature that is completely undefiled by man (almost impossible these days) you see what is real. Society and civilization are not real, they are at best an art form created by mankind(and woman kind).

So, if you want to be where it is real the closest thing to real now is in a wilderness somewhere where things are relatively undefiled by people's mistakes.

But, a lot of that is being burned down now in Washington Oregon and California and other western states. So, I guess you can now sail out to sea out of sight of land and go Scuba diving to experience nature. But, now the coral reefs many places are dying in the pacific Ocean because of 90 degree and higher water temperatures.

So, where do you go now to find something real?

I guess at this point it completely depends upon you.

For me, "Nothing's going to change my world!" And understanding what that meant in meditating on a center I could live with that spanned all the galaxies and included all life in the universe including all galaxies works for me to feel at peace. Maybe this meditation on experiencing yourself as the entire universe including all time and space might work for you too to bring you permanent peace and enlightenment into your lives. By God's Grace.

What is Real?

What is real is whatever you believe it is.

If you told me "Pink Fairies come out of my fingers to bless mankind."

(I've had girls tell me these kinds of things in the 1960s by the way)

I might just say, "Ok".

What I might be thinking is another story. (in other words I might quietly laugh inside myself)

However, I believe whatever you need to believe to stay alive in a human body here on earth that doesn't hurt anyone else might be useful to you in staying alive another day.

But, if you tell me "Everyone on earth wants to kill me."

I'm going to consider you a threat not only to yourself but also to all mankind. Because this is not a useful belief.

So, be careful what you believe in.

Some beliefs will lead to a healthy person and a long life and some won't.

So, what is real?

Whatever you believe to be real.

However, if you choose wrong likely you might be dead by this time next year or the year after.

What is Real?

Everyone has their own methods for testing reality. We develop them from childhood through conditioning and direct experiences. However, most people are not self aware, they are only obedient like little sponges absorbing whatever information is coming into their sense through whatever filters have been established there by parents, relatives, friends and crazy or bad people they have come into contact with.

However, most people are not self aware. Being self Aware means at some point you become your own criteria in regard to the information you are receiving. This means that you begin to see through systems you have been exposed to religious, cultural and social. And often the three are combined in both subtle and/ or devious ways by those around you. Often the people around you are not self aware either.

So, until you learn critical thinking most people cannot be considered to be self aware but only obedient to whatever system they have been taught or contrary to whatever system they have been taught, (one or the other).

So, what is real changes drastically once one develops critical thinking and therefore is not a child whether a child child or an adult child anymore. Through critical thinking one becomes their own criteria of reality from then on.

This doesn't mean you don't pretend to fit into cultural norms when you find it useful. It just means you see through cultural norms as being what they are: "Ways to manipulate and control people to specific ends."

So, you see religious manipulations as about social and economic control of people. You see cultural controls of people as being the same. So, sometimes it is useful to buy into both these types of control (or appear to) and sometimes it isn't.

All people who own businesses and are able to have enough money to travel the world tend to be critical thinkers and capable of seeing through cultural and religious manipulations to a greater or lesser degree.

Most people with college educations are capable of thinking like this as well.

However, just being capable of  critical thinking doesn't make you a good person. Hannibal Lector in Silence of the lambs was a critical thinker too.

So, what makes a critical thinker that one would like to know and be?

Compassion and empathy for other beings.

This is the key component to being a useful and helpful human being.

So, what is reality to me?

Reality is learning to be compassionate to all beings in the universe in the past, present and future of the whole universe.

So, getting beyond idiot compassion to right mindful useful and efficient compassion is often the difference between death and life (both yours and others).

What is Real?

"What is Real?" may not be the most useful question unless you just woke up from an all weekend bender and have to figure out not to walk in front of that moving truck.

However, "Why am I choosing to live here on Earth?" might be more useful in your sojourn here on earth during your lifetime.

Just because a whole lot of people believe something for thousands of years doesn't make it true. For example, for thousands and thousands of years people believed the world was flat and if you said anything else, you would be killed just for disagreeing with them. Were they right? No. We all now know(most of us at least) that the world is definitely not flat.

Likely, there will be other sacrosanct notions about life that will be broken and something else proven true in the next several thousand years. What they will be is unknown to most of us at present.

For the time being, however, the most useful question I can think of is: "What is important to me?" and next "What is important to keep the human race alive and not extinct on earth." For if the human race stays alive, my children and my seed might stay alive too. And in this way I might become immortal through the lives of my descendants.

I think these are the important questions to begin with. After that, an infinitude of other questions might follow. It's up to you.
