For a long time I have realized that what is actually real to people is what they believe is real.
It's not what most people can talk about, because it is subconsciously what you believe is real not necessarily something you can even speak about.
So then, conditioning (for all people) has a lot to do with what they actually believe.
Then there is what people are conditioned to believe and then what they actually believe which often are not the same things.
For example, you can raise a child in a religion and that child might never have believed that God or religion was real ever because that just didn't make any sense to them at all. And there really is no way to force anyone to believe anything in the end.
For example, people who believe in Trump have been conditioned in a very specific way. People who believe like the T-shirt says "It is better to be Russian than a Democrat" believe that all Gay people, for example, shouldn't exist or maybe should be killed in a white supremacist way often.
Does it mean they are bad people for believing this? No. Not necessarily unless they believe in accomplishing this through killing people.
It would be mostly a matter of the conditioning that they went through growing up that they bought into.
So, on one level these people likely are never going to change.
The other interesting thing I could say is that most people in the 1950s were just like them. I was a child then so I know what I'm talking about. And I met people in the 1950s that had been born as early as the 1840s and 1850s who traveled across America on the first trains and covered wagons even. And most of them were racist much more than Trump voters are now. They were much more against any ethnicity but their own. So, if they were WASPS (White angle Savon Protestant) they would hate anyone from any country but maybe the UK and the U.S. who came here from any country on earth.
So, we have come a long way but we still have a long long way to go. So, people think that this can happen overnight haven't lived the last 71 years with me and seen what I have seen.
Most progress has ONLY come from the older racist generations dying and the younger ones going to college.
Otherwise, nothing would have changed at all from the 1950s. This is my thought today.
So, it might take 500 years or never to create the world that some people want to live in. Which is why some people wear T-Shirts that say "Better Russian than Democrat" still today here in 2020 here in the U.S. who are Trump supporters.
There was a Trump rally I drove by in the city where I live and they were all pretty old and very white I noticed and seemed sort of disheartened at the response of drivers which was mostly just people staring at them and driving by because of course I live in California where Trump is not very popular at all.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
