Humans don't always react immediately to new changes to their environment. Because of this many die needlessly every year now. Some might just call this "Natural Selection". They might be right. However, I think something even more profound is happening. Those that can react and to beyond that help design ways for future civilizations to survive all the weather changes which one could classify as Global Climate Change or who some might characterize as "Weather Wars" or however, people might define it will be the future saviors of the survival of mankind. Any way you look at it something is seriously changing here on planet earth.
Another world fact that I just became fully aware of. People all over the world are having less and less babies. I think someone was telling me that even in China there is only a 1.5 replacement now for every 2 people (man and woman) statistically there. This is an amazing and incredible change from 1 century ago.
Now, you might think this should cause population reduction immediately. In another century that would be the case. However, now, since people are living longer and longer what this actually means is that there will be less and less young people to take care of the old worldwide. However, with older folks 40 to 100 or more years of age living longer and longer with more and more mental and physical abilities intact, it might not matter that there are less and less people being born on earth now every year.
Learning this fact surprised me a lot about the reduction of births worldwide. So, we definitely live in a Brave New World. I think changes of all kinds are accelerating here on Earth. What this will all mean hopefully most the rest of us will live long enough to find out.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
