Parag Khanna: Author

I watched a video interview with Parag Khanna at Yahoo Business. He was talking about his book "How to Run the World: Charting a Course to the next Rennaissance". In the interview he was talking about Billionaire philanthropists and how they are springing up especially in China and India now in the Bill Gates type of mold. When I went to:

These are two short stories facing how people are physically and psychologically and possibly even spiritually and religiously physically interfacing with technology in previously unimaginable ways just 20 to 50 years ago. Hybrid Reality

Our species has reached a crossroads: we are irreversibly fusing with technology, creating a new hybrid reality that we neither understand nor know how to master. Because we are online every waking second—checking our Blackberries, networking on Facebook, downloading music on our iPods—we think we are in the driver’s seat of technological progression. In truth, the tentacles of technology are taking us down evolutionary paths we have yet to comprehend.
Hybrid Reality explores the implications of our complex and irreversible tango with science and technology on all aspects of our everyday life: how we educate ourselves, handle intimate relationships, perceive our self-worth, enhance ourselves physically and mentally, and collaborate as businesses and nations. By going beyond  ‘what will be the new technology?’ to probe further into ‘what does it mean for me and society’, this project will unlock a lively discussion on what new lifestyles and social structures are just around the corner, and how we can make informed choices to remain in control of an uncertain future. end quote.
